SX Bet will begin the addition of novelty markets to the platform with two new categories: protocol fees, and box office revenue.

The addition of protocol fees will allow users to wager on the fees generated by a number of blockchain protocols. To begin, this will include Ethereum, Bitcoin, Uniswap, and AAVE. Protocol fee markets will open every Monday, giving users the opportunity to bet on the fees generated by each respective protocol from 12:00 AM UTC to 11:59 PM UTC each Thursday.

Weekend Box Office markets are a chance for users to put their knowledge of the film industry to the test and put tokens behind their weekend revenue predictions on an array of different film titles. Markets for box office revenue will open at the beginning of the week and will allow users to bet on whether the revenue generated will be over or under a certain revenue threshold for the weekend showings in the USA (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday gross revenue).

While sports betting is and remains the primary focus of SX Bet, we recognize that not everyone’s wagering interests lie exclusively in the realm of sports markets, and more importantly that there are an endless number of fun things to wager on.
